If epic, catchy, punky rock n’ roll is your thing, then you may want to check out the up-and-coming Woking band CARTER DAZE. The band’s current line-up of Dave (guitar and vocals), Jon (bass), Chris (guitar) and Jack on drums have just released their new ‘head-banging’ four-track EP North Korean Democracy 2 which is available for download (click here). The band, two of whom are from Knaphill, can already boast a number of gigs at locations including The Barfly, Camden Town, The Slaughtered Lamb and the New Cross Inn in London and Guildford’s Boiler Room and Star Inn pub. Further gigs are being arranged as the band put together new dates for autumn and winter 2019/2020. We will report on those as we know them.
Recently, their single All In featured on BBC Radio’s ‘BBC Music Introducing: The South’ programme hosted by the legendary DJ Melita Dennett. It became an instant hit with the programme’s listeners and was played again on the ‘best of’ programme a few days later.
Vocalist Dave said, ‘Our ambitions are to continue writing the best songs that no one’s ever heard, keep playing gigs and promoting our material. We’re also very excited about the music videos we’re going to make over the next couple of months. Watch this space’! Carter Daze is indeed a local band with high ambitions and The Knaphillian hope to hear more about this talented group and feature more about them in future.
