Brandons Sales and Lettings Agent is a family run business in Knaphill.
Director, Tony De Piano told The Knaphillian how they had been managing during lockdown.
“Brandons office in The Broadway, Knaphill, has remained closed during the lockdown, however the family team remained in contact digitally via email and by telephone for our vendors, landlords and tenants. During lockdown we were able to assist keyworkers with their moves and Woking Council with priority tenant moves, remaining safe by wearing PPE, keeping a minimum of two metres social distance and limiting the time spent in face to face conversations.”
As lockdown eases, are there any different services you are offering residents?
“Going back to work for us requires staff and our clients to follow the HM Governments guidance. We are wearing PPE, using hand sanitizer and keeping a social distance.
“We are a family business and operating safely as we go forward is our priority. The ‘new normal’ really consists of familiar and non-familiar processes. Just over a year ago we introduced our online service, this has been well received and is accessible through our website. In the first instance we will offer purchasers and tenants a new video tour of any property they wish to view and as before, we recommend a drive-by of the property.
“We will keep face-to-face conversations to a minimum and greater discussion can be via email, telephone or on a Zoom (video) call. We provide digital valuations and as before, all follow-up correspondence can be completed via email.”
Are there any measures you would ask purchasers to observe when visiting?
“Yes, we ask all customers and potential customers, when viewing a property to wear PPE and have hand sanitiser as we move through the stages of the lockdown. We will ask the home owner or our tenant to open all the doors and switch on the lights as it’s important customers do not touch door handles and light switches in vendors’ homes. We also ask to be informed if you plan to arrive and leave the appointment by public transport.
“During this phase of easing out of lockdown, our office will be open by appointment only, so please call us to book a time.”
Tony’s career as an estate agent goes back to 1986. In 2006, he decided to put his experience and local knowledge to good use, establishing and opening the door to what was the old video shop, for Knaphill’s independent local estate agency. Brandons offers both a sales and lettings service all under one roof.
Why the name Brandons? Tony chose the name as it was his wife’s maiden name!
